Objectives

To encourage Thai Brewers and those who are interested about Beer Style according to BJCP standards and Off-Flavor in Beer 
which can be used as a guideline for improving their beer quality.

Terms and Conditions

  • Only styles as shown can be accept.
  • Only Homebrew can join this competition!
  • Limited 300 entries!
  • Judging based on BJCP beer style guidelines 2021 📝
  • * 5 Bottles/Cans required per entry (at least 1.5 liter)
  • ** Download your label on Entry Status Page
  • *** Print your entry label on a waterproof stickers and attaching on the every piece of your bottle/can.
  • **** Do not attaching other labels or any other symbols.

  • Carefully pack your entries in a box. Line the inside of your carton with a plastic trash bag. Partition and pack each bottle with adequate packaging material. Please do not over pack!
  • Write clearly: Fragile. This Side Up. on the package. Please only use bubble wrap as your packing material.
  • Enclose each of your bottle labels in a small zip-lock bag before attaching to their respective bottles. This way it makes it possible for the organizer to identify specifically which entry has broken if there is damage during shipment.
  • Every reasonable effort will be made to contact entrants whose bottles have broken to make arrangements for sending replacement bottles.

The awards ceremony will be start at the after party on the same day. Places will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category.

Thailand Homebrew Competition will evaluation entries. On this basis, the winner, 2nd place and 3rd place awards for each group of category will be presented.

Judging Process

  • The first round will conduct evaluations by groups of category. Under the style requirements, the works within each group will be ranked according to their excellence, brewing technic, innovation and drinkable.
  • All entries of first round will be evenly distributed into judging groups according to the style grouping.
  • Composition of the judging group: Group leader (Professional judge), Member 1 (BJCP Judge), Member 2 (BJCP Judge or Craft Beer Professional), Member 3 (BJCP Judge or Craft Beer Professional).
  • During the judging process, the information of the entries will not be shown to judges.
  • Members of the judging group will score the appearance, aroma, taste, and mouthfeel of the entries respectively, and finally give an overall impact score and provide feedback suggestions. The sum of all scores is the total score. (During the evaluation process, If score discrepancies among judges exceed 7 points, a panel discussion is required to reconcile the differences within a 7-point margin.)
  • After the first round is completed, the judging group will select the 3 best entries, and conduct a final - round judging according to the style grouping. the winner, 2nd place and 3rd place within the group will be finally determined.
  • The judge's decision are final.
